Bemidji State returns to the Glas for CHA play hosting the Alabama-Huntsville Chargers for the final time as conference-mates this weekend. Tom Serratore joins us as always, and as a change of pace, we interview 1980 Olympic Gold-medal winner Phil Verchota, a former Gopher who now lives and works in Bemidji.

Bemidji State enters a very exciting month, with Robert Morris, the team the Beavers defeated in the CHA Championship Game last March opening November at the John Glas, then a trip to Minnesota next weekend, Alabama-Huntsville's last CHA trip in two weeks, and finally, a Thanksgiving Tourney in Grand Forks vs. Frozen Four opponent Miami (OH), and Ohio State. It all get's started tonight vs. the Colonials at the Glas, and The Hockey Show talks with both Tom Serratore and Derrek Schooley.
We also have discovered a YouTube video from the Czech Republic of former Beaver Tyler Scofield. Enjoy!

The final season of College Hockey America play kick's off this weekend with Bemidji State's trip to Alabama-Huntsville for a Saturday-Sunday series. For the program, Scott interviews BSU coach Tom Serratore, and Moose Richards talks to UAH coach Danton Cole. Bemidji State continues it's non-conference schedule traveling to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to take on Northern Michigan University this weekend. For the show, Scott Williams interviews Tom Serratore and Moose Richards talks with NMU coach Walt Kyle. We also get a bit of a history lesson on the Wildcats from Moose as he is an Alum of the school, and we chat about the legendary Big 10 Hockey Conference.

Also on the program this week for an update of the construction at the Bemidji Regional Event Center (click for the BREC web-site where you can access the web-cam) is Bob Fitzgerald from Krause Anderson Construction.

Interviews with WCHA Commissioner Bruce McLeod and BSU Coach Tom Serratore. These are scheduled to air Friday, June 19th as part of KBUN-AM 1450's coverage of the Wells Fargo Gordy Skaar Memorial Golf Tourney - the primary fundraiser for Bemidji State men's athletics scholarships. The only unfortunate part of this is that the interview with Bruce McLeod was conduced early Friday morning (6/12) prior to the announcement that Dean Blais was named head coach at UNO.
